This is the place to follow our family adventures and catch up on what we have been up to. We will keep you posted on how God is moving in the WV eastern panhandle/northern VA area and share with you the process of planting a new church out of C@M http://martinsburgchurch.org

update from my phone

I uploaded a bunch of photos from my phone of the last couple weeks.  Here is what we have been up to.....

Indiana Jones & his side-kick Daddy dog with baby puppy

Visiting Granny and Pops and their awesome Church's playground

Playing catch

Checking out the playground in Winchester

Painting snakes they made from the clay that Tony and Mallonee Basham sent them.  We LOVE mail!
In case you wondering Micah made a Cobra and Naomi made a ran over by a car snake.  What a crazy girl I have!

Ninja Nomes (incase there are any bad guys while we wait for Micah's bus)

Playing chess at the library (Micah is making up the rules and Naomi is feeling frustrated)

Pumpkin worksheets from school

Micah has been practicing being a weather reporter.  This is a pretty accurate weather report.

Micah figured out that he can play Monopoly Deal.  So if he is home that is pretty much what we are doing. :)

Eating at IHop with India and Blaise

Micah did not forecast that we would have snow....but did we ever!!!

Then days later we were at the playground with out coats!  its crazy!

Thank you for checking in on our family.  We are preparing for Operation Thanks here in a few weeks as well as Micah's birthday and family visits.  Please continue to pray for our family.

New opportunities

We have been praying about how I (Sarah) could possibly balance a job and taking care of the home and family.  God has been shutting doors (and opening doors) like crazy since we arrived in Martinsburg about this issue.  So we have decided to more seriously pursue sewing and crafting.  Its something that I love and can slowly help add to our income.  I also can be flexible and  involved in the kid's schools and being available when they are sick.  The call on a family to ministry is a big one, and I want to be around and available for Shay and for the kids.  I want to be able to make our home a peaceful and calm place.

I am very excited.  Three Thanksgivings ago some sweet family members introduced me to covering alligator clips with ribbon to make some cute things for Naomi.  I had no idea at the time where that would lead!

If you would like to help spread the word about this endeavor you can head over to Facebook and "like" my page.  Nomi Ruth on Facebook  This will create some digital traffic for me as well as enter you in a drawing to earn a FREE hair accessory.  My website is Nomi Ruth on Etsy

At the moment I have Christmas accessories as well as felt flowers and cupcakes.  I am expanding to head warmers, wristlets, clutches, wallets and purses very very soon.

Thank you for your continued support and prayers for our family.

a very windy family visit

Recently Aunt Jules and Uncle Derek came for a visit.  The weekend they were here was windy and beautiful.  So I unearthed my camera and caught some shots of playing and fun!

Bella got cold (and quite possibly could have flown away in all the wind) so I put her in my coat :)

Silly sister shenanigans + crazy wind

We took a break from the wind and took them to Old Town Winchester.

Sometimes artists have to sit down in the middle of the road and draw ;)

Then Shay told me to shoot some pics of Old Town....well, if I have to ;)

Thanks for coming to visit Aunt Jules and Uncle Derek.
