This is the place to follow our family adventures and catch up on what we have been up to. We will keep you posted on how God is moving in the WV eastern panhandle/northern VA area and share with you the process of planting a new church out of C@M http://martinsburgchurch.org

fall fun

Here are the kids on their second, first day of school this year.  :)

Isn't it awesome when God drops awesome Jesus-following friends right in your lap?? That is what He did with my friend Roxie.  Her family is the first family we met in Martinsburg.

The kids had a day off school and Roxie had us over to carve some pumpkins with her kids.

We even made mashed pumpkin for dinner and roasted the seeds....YUM!

We are thankful for meeting this awesome family and are glad to call them friends.

Family fun day in Winchester VA

The city of Winchester VA had an International Children's Day last weekend.  20 different countries were represented there.  There was a stage with presentations, like drums from Africa, bagpipes from Scotland and dancing from Mexico.

We traveled to each country's table and got to learn about each one and do little activities together.  It was alot of fun!

The kids got to do some Tae Kwon Do.  Very cool.  There was lots of Hi Yas'!!!

Those of you from Highlawn Baptist might recognize the man with Micah doing a card trick.  Thats Johnny from the Answers in Genesis!  He lives in Inwood (where we live) and is a magician.  It was so cool to get to see him and make a local connection with a believer!  Praise God!

Naomi is a sucker for stuffed animals...big and small :)

We had a good time in Winchester and were thankful for such a good way to have some exposure to the city.
Praying for more chances to experience local areas and to meet more believers who can partner with us in prayer.

Welcome to Martinsburg!

We have been in Martinsburg for a week and half!  We are almost unpacked and situated.  Both kids are getting familiar with their new schools and enjoying going to church at C@M.

This is Bella during the drive up here.  She is slowly starting to settle in too.  It might have taken her longer than it took the kids!!

Micah was a big help unpacking the kitchen.  And we didn't even break anything!

The first weekend we were here we had to go to Lowes and just happened to be there during their kids builder program.  They have decided we will be going to the program EVERY time that Lowes offers it. :)

Here is Micah's new playground at his school.  They approve!

We have also been playing of course.

Thanks for stopping in.
I will be back soon with a post about our first exposure to Winchester VA.

in closing.....

Well friends....
It is with a sad heart that I am closing this chapter in my life. If you want to read why you can go here. I am thankful for all the friends and family that have encouraged me and supported me to step out in faith and take photos of their precious loved ones. I have loved it in a way that is hard to find words for. I also love that God used this experience to teach me and how He has used me.
So I figured I would close up shop by sharing a few of my last photos of some sweet boys that I LOVE.

Jesus, I thank you for this experience. I pray that you will heal my eyes. But even if the answer is, "Not now" I praise your name!

Sweet 1 year old cheeks

You might remember sweet baby abby. Well, she is back on the blog to celebrate being 1 years old! She brought the rest of the family and we had a great time hanging out with all the beautiful daffodils!

Big sister, Hannah

Sweet girl snuggles

She did not want her feet to touch the ground!

Hannah was having a very fun dance party in the background. Love it!

Isn't Abby's mama talented? She made Abby this sweet 1 year old outfit! Yay!
